Wow. I’ve got quite a long history with Tim Hortons, but for some reason I keep going back (probably because of Roll Up The Rim). This morning at the drive-through was about par for the course.
Her: Welcome to Tim Hortons, how can I help you?
Me: Hi. Can I please get an extra-large tea, with two milk and two sugar?
Her: <several seconds of silence> Ummm, so you want a decaf tea?
Me: Actually, I just want a regular tea.
Her: Okay. Do you want anything in it?
Me: Yes. Two milk, and two sugar.
Her: <several seconds more of silence>. So two cream, and one sweetener?
Me (trying not to sound frustrated): No. Two milk. <pause> And two sugar.
Her: Oh! Okay!
I’m surprised that I didn’t end up with a Double-Double instead, as has been known to happen before.

The A&W here is like that. Every time we go through the drive-through for breakfast, we order the same thing. The breakfast sandwich with the tomato. They always forget the tomato. Once they forgot the ham. Once, we got bacon instead of ham. At least it came from the right animal, I guess.

Not sure whats going on, but when I was working at Mickey D’s when I was 16, i sure as hell made sure every order was perfectly as ordered. So did everyone else. The managers and all they staff did all we could to make sure the service was perfect. Now it seems like either they are just really honestly too stupid to work at a Mc D’s (or timmys or A&W) or they simply just dont give a shit at all and sleep through their shifts. The Mc D’s next to timmy’s near wallmart here is the worst for the drive through. ALWAYS check the bag before leaving the window.. Seriously… And don’t even bother with the one down near Buy-Low… Its the worst Mc D’s i have ever had the displeasure of going to in my life. lol

Seriously, though, in regard to Tim Hortons in Vernon, the Polson Park one is by far the worst. The drive through is one of the worst anywhere in terms of speed and accuracy.
The biggest screw up I experienced there was ordering a tea and getting it, although with Coffee instead of hot water. Seriously. They put a tea bag in a Double-Double. The second worst was getting a cup of cold water with a tea bag.
That said, I’ve been making a point of avoiding that one and going out of my way to the one at OK Landing, but that’s where this took place. It’s the last in a long line of screw ups (the worst there being ordering a French Vanilla Cappachino and getting a Double-Double). From now on, I’ll walk to the one on Highway 97 near the 7/11. It may be petty, but really, I just want to get what I order without a lot of fuss.

You would think that they could at least get a double double right… last time I was there my coffee was half milk and no sugar… haven’t been back since.
